We see a sacred space...
while others see square footage

FMSI serves local congregations providing church cleaning, disinfection and event set up for North Texas—combining rigorous commercial cleaning, infection prevention, and facility care to protect congregants, staff, guests, and campus preservation.

For us a church and its property is not just another account number. We see transformation. We see a sanctuary.

The Place Where Life Gathers

Long before there were steeples, there were people gathering. The first believers met in homes, broke bread around ordinary tables, and called one another family. From those small rooms, the love and care spread across two thousand years of history, carried by ordinary people who kept showing up.

In village after village, the church stood at the center of life. Its bells marked the hours of the day. Its doors opened for the hungry, the grieving, and the stranger. Some of the world's first schools and hospitals began in its halls, because people of faith believed every life was worth teaching, healing, and saving.

And through the centuries filled with war, peace, life and death the church has held families together. A grandmother was married at the front of the same sanctuary where her grandson would one day be dedicated. A father learned to pray in the pew where he would later sit with his own children. Generations have wept at funerals, laughed at fellowship feasting events, and found their footing again in the same rooms, under the same roof, among the same people who knew their names.

A church building is never just a building. It holds first steps of faith and last goodbyes. It holds youth group memories, wedding vows, and quiet prayers whispered on a weekday afternoon. Its walls have heard more hope than almost any place on earth. Today we see a local church in partnership with NGO's that is often a soft landing place for for victims of a natural disaster...many who have never been in church but experience the nurture and care of a church family for the first time.

That is why we don't take our work lightly. When we care for your building, we're caring for a place where heaven and ordinary life meet, and where your congregation's story is still being written. It's an honor to prepare that space for the next family, the next generation, and the next person walking through your doors for the very first time.

A personal word from our founder

Headshot - PDS-1.jpg

To the pastors and leaders who carry the weight of a congregation, this word is from me, Paul Simmang, to you. You might notice this page is a little different from the rest of our website--me talking directly to you. This is because a church is something very special because of the direct impact made on the community and families that are being served. Supporting you with excellence means we are in a sense impacting those communities and families, and I cannot think of a better way of impacting the world as a company than being a part of your mission.

Although I have won millions of dollars in annual recurring janitorial contracts and operationalized those promises in various industries, from hospitals and hotels to country clubs and defense contractors...a church property is unlike any of them. It isn't just a facility; it's a sacred space. At various times a church is like a stadium, hotel, office, retail, recording studio, gym and school, yet it is none of these completely. For this reason it is important to integrate cleaning strategies from various industries as a blended approach for church campus disinfection and cleaning. I also think this unique confluence of variables is why I have seen first hand so many of the large national/global commercial cleaning companies not measure up to church leadership expectations. Fundamentally almost all of these companies view a church as just square footage and innocently apply 'tried and true' formulas for labor calculations, but these rarely work in a church setting. Also, staffing is priority one and cannot be a casual selection process of moving the warehouse or office cleaner over to the church. The front-line techs must have heightened background checks, fit the culture, present themselves well, and be able to communicate.

Faith and family run deep for my home. Serving the church isn't a market segment to me, it's personal. I grew up in church, met and married my wife in church and we raised our family going to church. Over the years I served in the local church in various capacities...whether it was playing the piano for worship services, teaching an adult Sunday School class, overseeing student ministry or leading other departments/ministry. In other words, I have extensive church life/leadership experience and understand your unique environment.

Equally important is that I have won and personally managed church janitorial contracts of every size, from $350 a month for a modest congregation to $100K+ per month for very large churches with schools and associated facilities. Whatever the size of your church, I understand your building and your mission, because I have stood on both sides of the door: as a church leader, and as the one caring for the building. It would be an honor to apply my understanding of church leadership and facility expertise for your unique situation and design a solution.

The front line is everything
